Snare Drum Cajón

I was asked to design a wooden-skinned snare drum for a professional percussionist who wanted to expand the sound of his drum-kit setup when performing.  This is what I came up with! It's a double-sided Cajón with snare wires on one side and a snareless playable side when flipped over.
 
The body is made of solid wood and is 6 inches (150mm deep), it is a 10 sided shape which is about 14 inches (350mm diameter).  The playing surfaces are strong birch plywood.  The solid wood "stave" sides make the drum very strong and help with the projection of sound.
 
If you order a Snare Drum Cajón from me I will use appropriate wood from my wood collection.  This could be Oak or Ash, or perhaps Rimu, Matai, or Eucalyptus.  The photos above are of an Oak and Jarrah drum.
